So when I was 12 my grandmother passed away. I was down in Jamaica visiting family when I found out. A couple of days afterward my grandfather took me and 2 other relatives to the unfinished house he was suppose to retire with her to. So we just climbed the ladder to get to the 2nd floor when we noticed this unusual large black cat in the hallway. It looked at us then turned into a room. We quickly followed it but when we got into the room it vanished. No sign that it could have escaped. My Uncle stated how that was probably Vera (my grandmother).
Another thing about her death is that my neighbor back in New York noticed the all lights flicker in house around the time of my grandmother’s death and nobody was home during that time.
Its not really creepy story but I’ve been thinking about it since my grandpa’s death a couple of months ago. We all thought something weir would happen or something. But there was no warning for him. He always stated how he couldn’t live in that house in Jamaica without her and his last words were how he needed to pick up Vera. So part of me thinks that if I go back to that unfinished concrete house, both of their spirits would be there.

Nearly 5 years ago my mum moved in with her current partner to his house, and some time after this happened my mum was walking up the stairs and felt something tap her shoulder, it wasn’t with a violent intent, but it was strange. A while after that I was in bed late at night, my room is in the attic at my mum’s so when the light is off it’s pitch black, I was listening to my iPod as i was trying to get to sleep, facing the wall away from the stairs and I felt something, that feeling of someone watching you, the weird thing it wasn’t just a someone it felt like a woman watching me from the stairs. I turned my lamp on and brought myself to look over to the stairs, I wasn’t sure if it was because I had just turned the light on or something, but I saw something shift downwards. It wasn’t someone or one of the animals because because the door swings back when opened so it would be heard. Then, last year I was staying at my mum’s during the holidays and late one night I was just lay trying to sleep but it felt like some kid was running around my bed, which is partially against the wall, I actually looked up and couldn’t see anything, I layed back down and they started again. I decided to go downstairs and get a drink, and I came back up and my TV had turned itself off, it was doing something so it was because of it being idle. I thought my mum had come up and turned it off, she hadn’t.

I want to share something with you. It isn’t very creepy but rather interesting.
I live in a small town - Wieluń (in Poland). I’ve experienced pretty strange thing recently. I sleep in a bunk bed (closer the ceiling). When I’m trying to fall asleep I see shadow on the ceiling. It would be okay but this shadow is very dark and it moves. Or when I’m doing something (watching TV or doing my homework etc) I can see something or rather SOMEONE out of the corner of my eye.
Security personnel at Disneyland noticed something unusual on their surveillance cameras one night. So they replayed the video recording and shot their monitors with a home video camera. What we see is a transparent figure taking a walk through the Disneyland ground, even right through a closed metal gate at one point and, at the end, across some water. It’s interesting that the figure was captured in succession by multiple camera, allowing us to follow its movements.
I would like this anonymous, please.
I’m part of a sorority that is in southern Ohio. The sorority house is hundreds of years old, and used to belong to an old governer of Ohio. It also belonged to a dentist that practiced over a hundred years ago. The house is beautiful; it’s three floors, and has incredibly unique decor. There’s something else about this house, though, that makes it incredibly different than any other house that I’ve ever been in.
The sorority house is off campus, and directly across from a cemetery. When I used to have to walk to the sorority house from my campus, I’d run past the cemetery, because it always gave me the chills.
Everyone jokes that “George,” the previous governer of Ohio, haunts our sorority house. Tons of sisters have many experiences of George turning off their electronics, moving things in their room, closing doors, etc etc. We all claim that he’s the ‘friendly ghost,’ and is a man who looks over the house.
My friends decided to do a oiuja board this past december. They said they experienced mild paranormal activity.
This story it true.
One day when I was little I was home sick. I was sitting on the couch in my living room watching TV, and my parents were out because they worked at the school at lunch.
While I was watching TV I heard someone call my name. I looked around and, obviously enough as I was home alone, no one was there. Once I went back to watch TV I heard my name being called again but I just ignored it.
Some teenagers think it’s fun or cool to go traipsing around disrespectfully in cemeteries on Halloween. If you’ve considered such an outing, consider too that you might be disturbing those who rest there and something might even follow you home.
A 17-year-old Scottish girl made that mistake. It wasn’t Halloween, but the Spring of 1978 when a girl, identified only as Miss A by the Society of Psychical Research, and several of her friends decided to make their way through a local graveyard, trampling graves as they laughed and joked. Only Miss A and her family was to pay the price for that prank, however. Several nights later, Miss A awoke to see the apparition of an old woman sitting in a chair near her bed. The spirit was not transparent, and Miss A did not sense any harm from it. In the morning, she wrote off the experience as a weird dream.
But it wasn’t. For several weeks following, Miss A repeatedly saw the ghost of the old woman - sometimes in broad daylight. It would follow Miss A from room to room, hovering less than a foot above the floor. At times it watched Miss A’s every move, following her, and would freeze in place whenever she turned to confront it. And soon the encounters became more threatening.
While making tea one day, she felt an unseen force grab the tea kettle - filled with boiling water - and twist it in her hands. Miss A felt that the entity was trying to scald her. Finally, Miss A told her mother of these bizarre experiences. Mrs. A was skeptical at first - until she too saw the old woman drift across the downstairs hall and disappear into a room. The entity continued to make its presence felt. On one occasion it wrenched the vacuum cleaner from Mrs. A’s hands. It would sometimes push or pull against doors that family members were trying to open or close. Miss A’s father - the most diehard Skeptics of the group - was even forced to believe when loud rapping noises awakened the entire household, and later when he could not explain water incessantly dripping from the kitchen ceiling. A plumber could find no leak.
The poltergeist activity escalated. Loud banging, unexplained snoring sounds, objects moved about. Then, it seemed, the entity attempted to make its identity known. Miss A was sitting with her father one day when she suddenly fell into a trance. She began to speak of another life - as the daughter of a French doctor in the 1800s. After this incident, Miss A’s behavior changed noticeably and she appeared to be endowed with unexplained psychic powers: she could bend the tines of a fork just by brushing them with her fingers. Doctors and other investigators could find no rational explanation for what was happening to the A family. But they could endure no more. Miss A and her family moved out of their home of 11 years.
But the ghost was to give Miss A one last life-threatening scare. Out of a nagging curiosity, Miss A returned to the empty house one day. She found the back door broken and open. She went in. She picked up the telephone to see if it was working. Suddenly, something grabbed her by the throat. Icy, unseen fingers had grabbed Miss A by the neck and were choking her. Terrified, she managed to pull herself away and ran out the front door. Needless to say, she never returned.
This story is not scary at all but a little weird, I guess. It’s a litlle long but I thought it would be nice to share it.
When I was around 5 years old I lived in a house with my parents and my older sister. My sister and me shared one room but my parents decided my sister was old enough to have her own room, so they enlarged the house, building a second floor. While all the construction was taking place, we temporarily moved to another house, which was also a two story house. I remember this house being really dark, maybe the location wasn’t helpful for the sunlight to go through the windows, and there also was a tree just outside the house, it was pretty big and something just felt weird about it. When we got to the house I chose the room in the second floor, facing the street. I believe it was one of the darkest rooms because the big tree covered all the window in the room. My sister picked the room next to it and my parents slept in the first floor room. I was much of a loner that time so I would spend the afternoons playing alone in my room.
One day my mom was alone in the house and she said she felt this presence inside the house, following her wherever she went; after a few days dishes would randomly fall and doors would slam by themselves, she never told me or my sister, not wanting to scare us and my dad being skeptic, she wouldn’t even bother. One day my sister was alone, too, with one of her friends from school and the friend asked “is someone else in your house?” my sister replied with a no, her friend told her she felt this presence and my sister quickly held her hands and telling her “You feel it too? I thought I was th only one” and they ran outside the house. A few months later, we moved back to our original house; one day my mom and sister were alone and they felt this presence around them again. My mom told my sister “you know, back there, I didn’t want to scare you so I never told you but I feel like there’s someone else with us, I think it’s a little kid” and my sister told her she also felt it and they shared their stories about how doors would randomly close by themselves, a few noises, etc.
After sharing all that with each other, this presence disappeared. 11 years later, I was 16, they told me this story and then I remembered, there was this little kid in the house and I used to play with him, thinking he was a neighbor. I still can’t remember his facial features but I believe he was around my age, with dark brown hair. I told this to them and the three of us freaked out cause all that time I was playing with a ghost; we came to the conclusion that he lived in that tree outside my window.

The woman in this clip took a picture on her mobile phone of her daughter and was shocked to see this ghostly image appear on the photo. Her sister, upon seeing the picture, threw the phone away screaming in terror.
The clip explains the history surrounding the area, approximately twenty years ago the area did not have any house built on it and was a wooded area. A local woman was attacked, sexually assaulted and killed there and unbeknown to the current residents their house was later built on the land.
Is this the ghost of the murdered woman who still haunts the area she was murdered in captured on film? Or is it a hoax? The image is reviewed by an photo expert and they try to recreate it, by getting someone to jump whilst the image is taken and also by photoshop. Whilst similar results can be made, the woman that took the photo insists that the image is of a real ghost.
This video was shot by Steve Lee during a rather famous haunting in his home in Black Forest, Colorado in the mid-1990s. “One day we came home,” said his wife Beth, “and it was like the Fourth of July in our living room and in our bedroom. We had all kinds of lights flashing through, and it sounded like people stomping across the roof. We would lay in bed at night and hear chains rattling. One night we woke up and heard orchestra music. Strange things started happening every day.” You can read more about his case in Dennis William Hauck’s article.
