I read this story on your blog the other day, and the way this creature was described sounded exactly like what I saw not too long ago.

Hauntings from where I work

I work at an Irish Club in England, It is a pub and skittles, and parties venue with an irish theme and customers/owners etc. But before this it was an old Victorian pin factory. Things happen when the customers leave and we are packing away at night, like footsteps from upstairs but we’ve closed upstairs and nobody is up there. And the phone will ring internally to the middle floor from the top floor :S … the cleaner and a couple of others have also said they have seen a young girl, with an older woman in the hallway dressed in plain old victorian rags. I get creeped out but all in all it is a good job. No wonder the place is haunted, it must be over 150 years old.

London Underground Ghost

This very compelling photograph was taken by Karen Collet on the Bakerloo Line, London, in the early 1980’s. Taking a picture of her family in the train, this eerie image appears reflected in the window, of a man in an electric chair with blue sparks shooting out from his hands. Taken with a ‘point and shoot’ 110 camera, manipulation is highly unlikely. A wax figure of Bruno Hauptman - who was accused of the kidnap and murder of the Lindbergh baby - is in Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and shows him in the electric chair. The image is IDENTICLE to the one in Karen’s photo except there are no blue sparks in the museum exhibit. Despite skeptics claims that it must have been a poster in the underground tunnel, Madame Tussaud’s can find no record of any such poster ever being manufactured.

Well the basic idea (i haven’t heard the stories in a while) but on the moors in the north of England (for your American readers moors are like a national park but really boring, theirs just some heather and sheep and trees and that’s it basically, a few lakes here and there) and there are a lot of rumours about a large black monster that roams the moors.

This image was taken by Philip Spencer, a former policeman who in 1987 claimed that he’d been abducted by aliens and when he returned managed to take this picture of an alleged entity on Ilkley Moor in England.

The Haunted Eltham Palace Magdalene Painting

This is The Haunted Eltham Palace Magdalene, a painting to which strange events have been attributed, and sometimes captured on tape.

Perhaps haunted by the model who posed for it. A 17th century painting of Mary Magdalene, (perhaps 1633) controvertibly attributed to Anthony van Dyck. From 1621 to 1627 van Dyck worked in Italy, and this painting shows the influence of Guido Reni, particularly Reni’s Mater Dolorosa. In April of 1632 van Dyck returned to London, was taken under the wing of the court of King Charles, and knighted. He was provided a house on the river at Blackfriars, and a suite of rooms in Eltham Palace, no longer used by the Royal family, as a country retreat. The painting was once part of a larger canvas, but this portion was cut out, supposedly because of reports of strange movements in the figure, in the eyes and mouth, and its heavy sighs.

Being buried prematurely is one of the most terrifying of all fears. Edgar Allan Poe wrote about it and it has been the subject matter of many horror movies. Surprisingly real life cases of this terrible mistake are more common than one might think. Years ago when embalming wasn’t as common and because of inferior medical equipment to detect life there are numerous cases where people have had the terrifying experience of regaining consciousness in their own coffin. Lake Windermere Monster

This picture was taken by 24-year-old Tom Pickles on Lake Windermere in England on February 11, 2011 while on a work-sponsored kayaking trip. He and his friend Sarah Harrington both saw the creature as it swam by, and Mr Pickles snapped the photo with his cell phone. They watched it for about 20 seconds and noted that what they saw was about as big as three car lengths. Until he realized its size, he thought it was a dog swimming by, “then saw it was much bigger and moving really quickly at about 10 mph,” Pickles told reporters. “Each hump was moving in a rippling motion and it was swimming fast. Its skin was like a seal’s but its shape was completely abnormal; it’s not like any animal I’ve ever seen before.”

The creature has been seen in Lake Windermere about seven times before, and it has been given the nickname Bownessie and is sometimes referred to as “England’s Loch Ness Monster.” The Loch Ness Monster is said to inhabit Loch Ness in Scotland.

Pickles photo and description match a sighting made by journalist Steve Burnip in 2006 near the shores of Wray Castle on the lake.

I forgot I had this photo wish id submitted it sooner as you love photos! Well this was taken at Bodmin Gaol (jail) in Cornwall England. Seriously creepiest/scariest/worst place me and my mum have ever been, the atmosphere was horrendous there were some rooms we just couldnt go in due to the feelings you got from it. It was so negative and intense. Its a very old one with lots of history, not many people were as creeped but my family history on my mums side is Cornish and we have a very poor poverty stricken background it wouldn’t have surprised us if some of our lost ancestors were in that place like so many were for not really any reason in modern days eyes! I recommend it to you if possible! This photo is of me and I hated having it taken, my mum made me but I was so chilled and the background was actually dark… the light in this photo was from the flash.. I hated doing it and didn’t hesitate getting out of those stocks. We left feeling faint, sick and pale lol. It was awful but upon inspecting the photos.. this is one of four from there.. I have labelled but not clearly.. my apologies it may help to save it and zoom in on it. But I think you can quite clearly see there is someone in those stocks with me.. D: I cant tell if that is a face above my head or just blurred wall but you can see a hand on top/with mine and you can see the back of someone bending to fit just behind me.. obviously taller than me aha. There is also that weird red orb thing and if you look at the leg stocks on the floor.. it looks like there is some legs in it. Dont know if you’d find it interesting but I hope you do!
