▶ Strange “Troll” Creature Photographed in Rural Pennsylvania

Something weird is lurking in the snowy forests of Pennsylvania, and one woman claims to have captured evidence of it on camera.

A woman named Polly took to Facebook a few days ago in order to post this photograph of a “sasquatch” that was snapped on her friend’s rural property. Like all great images of mystery creatures, the digital zoom has been clearly cranked to a max, making any kind of fine detail next to impossible to define, but it appears to show a gangly, crouched creature moving on all fours. Polly told Facebookers that the creature didn’t fear humans and moved like a juvenile primate:

A friend of mine lives in Pennsylvania and saw this as she called her dogs in. She was scared, because it didnt run off. She has 2 big black Chows. We think she saw a baby sasquatch. And that is what she thinks also, because she has never seen anything like this. She knows what a bear looks like, and she said it looked like a little gorilla. – Polly

▶ Big Foot

Bigfoot is the name given to a large bipedal ape like creature reported to roam the remote forest areas of the United States, specifically the Pacific North West, California, the Rocky Mountains, the Great Lakes region, and some of the Northeast and Southern states. Bigfoot is most likely very closely related if not the same species as Canada’s Sasquatch, similar reports of a creature like Bigfoot have been reported all over the world, including, Malaysia, China, Russia, Australia and South America to name a few.

Individuals who claim to have seen Bigfoot often give very similar descriptions, a 7 to 9 foot tall, ape or human like bipedal creature with broad shoulders, no visible neck, and pointed head similar to the crest of a male gorilla. Reports also sometimes note large eyes, a pronounced brow, and a large, low set forehead. A pungent odor, similar to feces, sewage or strong body odor, is also associated with most Bigfoot sightings.

▶ Fouke Monster

Caption: This photo was taken during a filming of a story about the Fouke Monster.

In the early 1970’s the small town of Fouke Arkansas, and surrounding areas including Miller County, played host to what witnesses described as a large hominid like creature covered in long dark hair. The creature was estimated by most eyewitnesses to be roughly 7 feet tall with a weight of 250 to 300 pounds. Some reports even added that the creature’s chest was 3 feet in width. Later reports, published in the 1980’s suggested that the creature was must larger, roughly 10 feet tall with an estimated weight of 800 pounds. Some accounts of the Fouke Monster suggest that the creature may have run on its haunches in a slouched posture, swinging its arms in a similar fashion to a monkey. The Fouke Monster was reported to have a terrible odor and have bright red eyes, the size of a silver dollar.

▶ de Loys’ Ape

During an expedition (1917-1920) on the Venezuelan-Colombian border in South America, a Swiss geologist named Dr. Francois de Loys and his team encountered and killed this creature. Obviously a large primate (4 feet 5 inches), many wondered if this could be a living “missing link.” Skeptics say it is just a spider monkey.

▶ The Skunk Ape

An anonymous woman mailed these photographs to Sarasota Sheriff’s Department in Florida. Accompanying the photos was a letter saying that this strange ape-like creature had been in her backyard on several occasions stealing apples out of a basket on her porch. She was convinced that the animal was an escaped orangutan, but others believe that this is photographic evidence of a Bigfoot like creature that is native to the Florida wilderness known as the skunk ape.
