One night I woke up because I felt like someone was looking at me.

This feeling wasn’t disturbing, I have two chihuahuas and most of the time they will just sit next to me on my bed and stare at me until I wake up because they need out, or they think it’s time for breakfast. Well I woke up and I barely opened my eyes. It was pitch black in my room.  But there was a silhouette of a man, he was blacker than the darkness.  He stood crouched over the side of the bed, bending down closer and closer to my face. He swayed his head back in forth as though he was studying me. My first thought was that it was my boyfriend. He sleep walks, and often times I wake up because he is sleep walking. Up until now I had not moved a muscle, I had just been watching this man standing beside my bed.  I finally called out my boyfriend’s name, “Royce?” The instant sound left my mouth, it is like the black figure melted into the blackness. He just faded away faster than the blink of an eye.  Soon I heard my boyfriend next to me on the bed, “huh?” “Where you just standing her next to me on the side of the bed?” I knew he wasn’t how could he have jumped from my side on the floor, to next to me on the bed under the covers? “No,” he replied. Needless to say I did not sleep anymore that night.
