On that weekend in January, CNYGH founder Stacey Jones and several members of the group went to the hotel on an overnight stay for what they thought would be a routine investigation. They had no idea what they were in for.
James Dean was a famous movie star of the 1950,s and like his screen image he liked to live life in the fast lane. In 1955 Dean was attracted to a car which was a silver gray 1955 Porshe Spyder.
He bought the car planning to race it in the upcoming races at Salinas. Dean was thrilled with the car but several of his friends were not.
Actor Alec Guiness told Dean to get rid of the car. George Barris said the car seemed to give off “a wierd feeling of an impending doom”.
On a trip out of Atlantis mechanic Rolf Wuetherich rode with Dean. Behind Dean following in a Ford station wagon was Bill Hickman and Stan Roth.
Once on the open highway Dean speeded along until at 3.30 a highway trooper pulled the Porshe over and gave Dean a ticket. Soon Dean and Wuetherich were beginning the ascent of the Diablo Range mountains.
At 5.59 P.M. Dean smashed head on into another car driven by Donald Turnupseed. Dean was killed instantly.
Wuetherich was thrown free but suffered extensive injuries. Turnupseed suffered only minor cuts.
The porshed was very badly mangled.
Later on the car was sold to a Barris who planned to use it for spares. But upon the cars arrival at the garage it fell during unloading on to a mechanic breaking one of his legs.
Then two physicians bought the engine and drive train to place in their own race cars. On October 2, 1956 they raced the cars using these parts for the first time.
One was killed in an accident and the other seriously injured in another accident. Two of the tyres off Deans car were sold to young man who later reported that both tyres had blown at the same time very nearly causing a serious accident.
Souviner seeking fans tried to steal parts off Deans car only to suffer severe injuries. The California Highway Patrol decided to use Deans vehicle as part of safety exhibit.
During one of the exhibits the garage used to house Deans car went up in flames. Strange all the vehicles inside were destroyed except Deans car.
Later when on display at a Sacrimento high school the car fell off its pedestal breaking a students hip. Then after that the car was sent to Salinas, but on the way the car fell off the flat bed truck killing the driver.
Two years later it fell off another truck causing an accident. Then in 1958 it caused another accident.
In 1959 the car was on display when for no reason it suddenly collapsed into 11 pieces. In 1960 the car was crated and sent to Los Angeles. But it never arrived, somewhere on the way it just disappeared.
Hey, I started following you tonight because I love scary stories, etc. Unfortunately, I am a gigantic wuss so I hate you're blog as much as I love it. But that's okay, I wasn't planning on sleeping tonight anyway.
I was reading these before bed and I hear this buzzing noise getting louder and quietly at random, and was getting really freaked out and shaky... Then I realized it was a fly LOL. True horror story at its finest... :P Love your blog!
Back in 2004-2005 I was a sophomore in high school. Keep in mind I’ve experienced odd things through out my life. Anyways, I’ve never liked sleeping in the complete darkness in the house I currently live in.( We moved in from the other side of town when I was a freshman… So it’s been about 8-9 years.) typically I leave the lights dim before bed. Which is true to the event that took place. I had fallen asleep while doing homework on my bed, and opened my eyes to see someone wearing slacks and a button up shirt sitting on my bed. I looked around the room and noticed something sitting on my dresser as well (I have no idea how to explain what that thing was or how to describe it) .
I had a feeling they were communicating with each other, I couldn’t hear it or understand it, but I just knew it. And I wasn’t scared, i was pissed. Pissed that the person sitting on my bed was also on top of my legs. And I remember trying to kick it off me. And the shock and anger i was in when realizing that from my shoulders down ,my body wouldn’t move. ( it felt kinda like when your arm or leg falls “asleep”). And I tried so hard to get it off of me. But it was useless, and that’s when the thing on my dresser realized I was awake and notified the person sitting on my legs. I don’t remember his or her face but I remember it turning it’s head to look at me and as soon as it saw I was awake, the thing on the dresser flew or floated towards the ceiling and disappeared with the other following it up. as soon as they were gone I was able to move and I ran up stairs to tell my mom what had happen. she didn’t let me sleep in that room for almost a year.
Now during my senior year ( keep in mind I had lived in the same house for four years by that the time) I was cleaning my room, and noticed that in front of my closet/mirror was a piece of paper. There was no way i could have missed that paper prior to that day. it was an old receipt from Marie Callendars, that read Gary Blodgett 11/21/89. I’m Mexican so there’s no one related to me with that last name and I had never heard of it either. But There is a Marie callenders down the street. I’ve often wondered If that’s who was in my room.

I never knew anyone else knew the blood countess story! My Romanian Grandfather told it to me when I was younger and it scared the shit out of me. But in his version she had a large maze made out of pretty hedges in which she would lure her students to the center where there would be a dungeon. Either way, it still remains the most terrifying story I've ever heard. Kudos man! xo
I was chatting with my cousin the other day, and he decided to tell me a story. This is what he said.
“Our parents were at a party, so I had to take care of you that night. I don’t think you were even a year old at the time. You were so cute… Big head, tiny body. I’d drag you around like a rag doll. Anyway, I was carrying you around the house. Because I was fourteen, I thought I was real macho to be walking around the house in the dark, late at night. I don’t remember why, but I went into my sister’s room and set you on the bed. Suddenly, your head whipped around to stare at a corner of the room. It was pretty intense. Then, you start laughing hysterically. Getting freaked out, I decide to leave, only to have you bawling because you didn’t want to stop looking. The creepy thing is that Anna (sister) complained about someone watching her sleep for a while.”
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Creepy. 7/10 for scares and thanks for sharing.
I really love reading the stories on your blog but anything to do with demons or poltergeists or even ghosts scares the sh*t out of me because i've had paranormalish stuff happen to me. But it just pulls me in and i need to finish reading the ghost stories because i find them so fascinating haha nice job!
In the Philippines, there is a creature similar to the vampire, which is the danag. The danag is an ancient species that worked along side humans for centuries. In folklore, it is also known for being the first people to plant something we call taro. They were a versatile race. They never fought or got into trouble. However, the legend goes that humans lost respect for the danags when a human woman cut her finger and the danag sucked it. However, blinded by the taste, the danag sucked her body clean of blood, in result killing here.
Nowadays, there’s a tribe in the Philippines known as the Beberlangs. They currently practice a form of psychic vampirism. Supposedly, they send out their astral bodies to feed on the vitality and life forces of humans.
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Well thank you for sharing that with me, that was interesting! I enjoyed reading that. 7/10 for scares and thanks very much for sharing!
Do you ever wonder if aliens are real, that they view us as we view them? Like to them, WE are the aliens, and whenever they see a sighting of us, it's all over their news. Just something I often think about.
haha i think this too
well i’m not sure if they’re real but i would like to think that we’re not alone in this universe
Black-Eyed People (sometimes called Black Eyed Children) are young people, often children, with eyes that are solid black and no differentiation between sclera, pupil, or iris. Those who report encounters with them often feel that the children were somehow supernatural and very dangerous.
Often, the reports talk of a meeting with one or two unusually confident and eloquent children who attempt to talk the victim into letting them into their house to use a telephone, to be safe from something, or often try to talk someone into giving them a ride home. Often, people begin to agree to their requests, even though they will be vaguely unsettling, until it is realized that their eyes are completely black. As soon as they can tell, the children become very angry and insistent. Some people who have encountered black-eyed people feel that the children may have been using some form of low-level mind control to get them to comply.
Experiences involving the black-eyed people generally do not explain the cause of the children’s eye color or the origins of the children themselves. Some imply they could be ghosts or demons, specifically vampires: the encounters frequently emphasize that the children must be voluntarily admitted or invited into the house or car in question, and in this way are reminiscent of some vampire legends.
It isn’t super creepy, and it isn’t a ghost story or anything like that but I think it’s pretty much a nightmare.
Last month, my Dad went to the junk yard and he walked by this jeep to rummage for parts. When he opened the back part of the jeep (the trunk thing) he saw a ripped up picture. When he put the picture back together, it was my sister. It didn’t “look like her” it was her, to every last detail.
He brought it home and showed her and she doesn’t remember ever taking that picture, it was some weird awkward angle like it was taken in the street, and when my dad described the car he found it in, she said she didn’t know anybody with a car like that.
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Woah, what. That is freaky though lol. 9/10 for scares and thanks for sharing.
Not a supercreepy story but thought this would be interesting to share.
So a long time ago when i was around 8-9 years old, me, my sister and brother spend the night at my aunt because there was a familyparty and since it was going to get late, my dad suggested we should spend the night at my aunt. My brother slept in the room from one of my cousins while me and my sister slept in the room from our niece.
So me and my sister slept on this big old matrass on the ground while my niece slept in her own bed. I couldn’t get into sleep, and at some point i was just staring into the hallway (since i was looking right upon it). I remember i suddenly saw this figure or shadow crossing the hallway, it went very fast. I’m sure there was nobody in the hallway since i didn’t hear any footsteps or other noise, it was just this shadow that looked like a man’s figure that came across. I was a little scared but afterwards i could just go back to sleep like nothing happened. I never told my family about this because they would just laugh it away.
I also remember i found the hallway creepy in some way. It was always cold there and i never wanted to be on my own in there. I’m wondering if my aunt or my cousins have ever seen paranormal activity in the house but i don’t dare asking because i’m sure they don’t believe in that stuff. But as for today, it’s the first time i’m telling this story of what i’ve seen that night.
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Its very interesting. You should asked them though, don’t feel embarrassed. 7/10 for scares and thanks for sharing!
You can't actually believe in all this stupid shit? Aren't you an adult?
Hi there. Yes I’m 20 years old! (-:
If you’re referring to peoples stories which have been submitted to my blog. Well, I read and respect their point of view really. I’m not going to be an asshole and say “what you just told me in that story is not true.” Everyone has their own point of views, this is called an opinion. As in, your opinion is. “All of this stupid shit.”
I may have seen a kongamato. I live in southern New Mexico. Some classmates and I were in an art class and someone pointed out an extremely large bird in a large tree about 30yds away. It looked to be about as big as a crane but it was hard to get a good look at since it was in the tree, but when it momentarily opened its wings, the wingspan easily looked over 4ft. We nicknamed it the 'dinosaur-bird' for some reason but we were never able to figure out what type of bird it was.
If it existed at all, this swamp-dwelling monster may have only recently died out. Local tribes of the Apa Tani Valley and the Jiro Valley in northern Assam, India, claimed to have seen this large, crocodile-like monster many times over the years. They described it as measuring between 11 and 13 feet long with a long snout, four limbs, and 5-foot-long tail. Unlike a crocodile, however, the buru did not have scales, but rather was smooth with blue and white coloration. Natives testified that it would occasionally lift its head out of the water and let out a bellow that could be heard over great distances.
After many run-ins with the creature, the natives deliberately set out to destroy the creature by draining its swamp habitat. The last one may have died sometime in the early 1940s, although some natives believe it only retreated underground. An expedition sponsored by London’s Daily Mail in 1948 proved fruitless, although it came away convinced that the natives were quite sincere in their belief in its existence.
Cryptozoologist Dr. Karl Shukar, after examining all the available evidence, surmised that the buru might have been a species of giant lungfish.
A walrus-like creature in the heart of Africa? Such is the description of the dingonek by John Alfred Jordan, an explorer who actually shot at this unidentified monster in the River Maggori in Kenya in 1907. Jordan claimed this scale-covered creature was a big as 18 feet long and had reptilian claws, a spotted back, long tail, and a big head out of which grew large, curved, walrus-like tusks.
Natives of the area further described it as having a scorpion-like tail and reported that it would kill any hippos, crocodiles, or human fisherman that dared encroach on its territory.
This sounds like a fantasy creature, but consider this: At the Brackfontein Ridge in South Africa is a cave painting of an unknown creature that fits the description of the dingonek, right down to its walrus-like tusks.
Emela-ntouka literally means “elephant killer,” aptly named by natives of the Republic of Congo who have seen this swamp-dwelling monster attack and disembowel elephants that cross its path. The instrument of this disembowelment is a large, ivory or bone horn on the animal’s head, leading to speculation that the emela-ntoouka might be a surviving relative of the triceratops or styracosaurus.
This is a nasty, vicious creature, according to the natives, who further described it as having a red-brown color, massive legs, and the ability to hide totally submerged beneath the water. Interestingly, its attack on elephants seems only to be defensive or territorial, since the monsters don’t eat the elephants. They seem to be plant-eaters.
Pterodactyl-like flying monsters are said to have been sighted in modern-day Southwestern United States. The kongamato is the African version of this dinosaur-era holdover, reportedly seen in Zambia and Zimbabwe. Although not as large as pterodactyls known from fossils – 4- to 7-foot wingspans compared to as large as 33-foot wingspans – the kongamato resembles the prehistoric creature in virtually every other respect: a long, tapered jaw filled with sharp teeth, bat-like membranous wings, and an overall lizard-like appearance.
Some researchers think the kongamato could in fact be a large species of bat. However, in 1923, explorer Frank Melland heard of this creature while traveling through Zambia. Intrigued, he showed illustrations of a pterodactyl to the locals, and “every native present immediately and unhesitatingly picked out and identified it as a kongamato.”
Let us leave the African continent now and travel to South America, where there have been reports not of a dinosaur-like creature but (perhaps more disturbingly) of a giant worm. Witnesses in Uruguay and southern Brazil describe the monster as looking like a gigantic armor-plated slug. Imagine a black slug as big as 14 feet long with a snout like a pig’s and two tentacles poking out of its head. Some reports have it as long as 75 feet! Normally living underground, the minhocão occasionally surfaces, leaving deep trenched in its wake.
Most scientists think its length has been exaggerated and suggest that the minhocão could either be: an unknown species of horned viper; a glyptodont, a giant relative of the armadillo, thought to be extinct; or an outsized caecilian, a subterranean worm-like amphibian.
Those are good guesses. But we know what the minhocão really is. Like the other creatures profiled in this article, they are the living, breathing monsters that hide in the damp, dark shadowy corners of our planet.
Can you hear the banshee and live if the call wasn't meant for you? Me and my dad were backpacking the ring of Kerry we were in an incredibly midge infested camp in some woods in the black and we had a bad night but at about 2am we were awoken by this god almighty long screech that just went right through us with fear and dread it was unexplainable we've heard screech owls, foxes and other noises but this was nothing like we'd ever heard we left soon after unable to sleep, it was terrifying :/
I live near kerry, ah. The whole point of banshee warning call is that the spirit is warning YOU that someone YOU know is going to die. It does not mean you’re going to die, lmfao. In some cases this happens though.
I was at work today and these two girls came in asking if we sold Ouija boards. We do, in pink! Haha I personally dislike Ouija boards. I think nothing good can come from them. Especially if you're inexperienced at using the board, you can bring something evil out. I really wanted to tell them not to mess around with it. Anyways, what's your take on Ouija boards?
to be honest everyone has their own point of view on ouija board. i’ve never touched one in my life so i don’t really have a say in it. but to be honest after all the stories i’ve heard about them? its best not to play with something that you don’t understand.
Strange things have been happening in my house for as long as I can remember. Electronics and lights turn on and off on their own, unexplained footsteps can sometimes be heard, along with the occasional tapping on walls. It never really scared me too much until one day when my friend and I were playing around with photobooth on my iMac.
We were 12 at the time, taking photos to upload to facebook. Goofing off, listening to music, totally at ease- until we saw this:
I’m the one on the right. It looks like I’m just holding my hand above my friend’s head, right? But that’s not my hand.
My nails were long and polished at the time, and I was wearing a tank top. There appears to be a sleeve before it fades out of the image. Not to mention I have tiny girly hands; that hand is too big to be my own.
Upon seeing this we sat there shaking, looking over our shoulders but there was nobody there. I seem to be looking straight at the hand in the photo but I didn’t see anything while it was being taken. My friend refused to sleep over at my house from then on.
Since then, only one significantly unexplainable thing has happened. My landline called 911 on its own three times within the span of three weeks last summer. The police showed up each time saying that when they answered, all they heard was static until it suddenly cut off. Our landline is no longer hooked up.
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Okay if what you’re telling me here is true then that is indeed quite strange. 8/10 for scares and thanks for sharing.
