Weird shit is always happening. It has a lot of history even though it’s only been open for about 10 years.
A little while back i was cleaning a auditorium with my best friend and a few other guys. I was at the top row of seats sweeping up popcorn when all of a sudden it feels as if someone tried their best to punch the air out of me. I grab my chest, sit down for a second and we all eventually head back to the janitor’s closet.
I go to my friend already starting to pull my work shirt down a bit and ask ‘hey man, is there anything here?’ he looks at my chest for a second and puts his fist right in the center and says ‘yeah, looks like someone punched you. can even see the knuckle print.’
apparently someone did die in this particular auditorium. No-one has given me exact details on it but out of the almost 20 people i work with, about 10 have mentioned having chills or just seeing things that just shouldn’t be there in #3.
needless to say, i have yet to go back inside.

yeah and what about Shirley Jackson? Writer of one of the most famous haunted house novels of all time, The Haunting of Hill House. Which in turn, inspired the acclaimed cult horror film, The Haunting.
I just think women are not too good at creepy things.
Mary Shelley was a famous writer who created the famous horror icon/story as we all known as ‘Frankenstein.’ she also started a new trend in horror stories back then as nothing like that has been done before.
The summer before my freshman year in high school, my family and I decided I should be able to have my own room, and not share with my brother anymore. However, since there weren’t any rooms in the house, my room took the form of a small shed my dad built in the backyard(fully furnished with electricity and everything).
One night in August, before we had started moving all of my things into my “new house”, I had some friends over, and we were sitting out there with my mom, playing cards. Everyone but me decided they were hungry and got up to get some food, but I stayed behind, with the door wide open.
I was only alone for a few minutes before I saw a white human-shaped figure a few yards away from the room, standing by our garage. I blinked before I could truly get a good look at it and it was gone. I ran into the house, and tried to explain it to the others, but I wasn’t sure what I saw, so I couldn’t explain it well. They didn’t believe me. Later, i passed it off as a mind trick.
A year later, around the same time in August, I was once again in my room with some friends(one of them was there the first time as well). I had my back to the open door, with my friend doing my hair, when the guy sitting in front of me gasps and points towards the door, spluttering. He said he saw someone standing by our garage. He described a vague white figure that was gone a few seconds later. It sounded exactly like what I’d seen, and he hadn’t been there the last time, so I didn’t think he’d of been messing with us.
I haven’t been sleeping in that room lately, opting to sleep on the couch instead(mainly because of the spiders). I mostly find it odd that the only two times this has happened has been around the same time of year. I haven’t been out there at the appropriate time to see it again, however.

In my bedroom, the closet doors are actually mirrors from floor to ceiling. My mom thinks it looks better, but I always found them creepy. My bed used to be right in front of the closet, and when I turned off the lights, I was always freaked out while looking over at them.
Usually, I used to see things in the dark, weird shadows that crossed the room or crawled on the ceiling and stuff like that. When I felt disturbed by them, I always closed my eyes and prayed for them to leave, you know, give myself some peace of mind. On most occasions that this happened, I was always talking with someone on the phone [reason why I would stay awake in a dark room], so I’d just ask them to give me a few seconds and that I’d explain later.
One night, I was talking to my best friend, who was used to me doing the before mentioned since it had happened before while I was with her on the phone. But on that night, I was just looking around my room and I suddenly looked at my mirror closet doors. I felt a tingle run down my spine. Right next to the doors, standing in a corner of the room was the silhouette of a little girl, dressed in white with dark, short hair in pigtails, looking straight at me.
I felt a huge energy, bad energy, and my heart just started racing. I closed my eyes tightly, hid under my covers and told my friend to give me a few seconds. I found it odd that my friend panicked. She kept asking me if I was alright, asking me what had happened. I was trying to pray so I ignored her, urged her to give me a minute or two. I really needed to pray, I didn’t feel like there was time to explain what I saw. But regardless of my pleas, she kept on asking me. Eventually I just placed the phone far away from me so I couldn’t hear her and finished.
Once I finally did that, I took a deep breath, looked at the corner and was glad to see that the little girl was gone, but when I got back to the phone, my friend was still panicky. I excused myself, told her that I just saw something disturbing and needed a few seconds. I didn’t tell her it was a little girl what I had seen.
But she just said ‘oh’, and stayed quiet for a while. So I asked what was wrong and she said, ‘Just before you said to give you a few seconds, I heard a little girl’s voice calling your name.’
Needless to say, I moved my bed from position. Now there’s a wall in between my bed and the closet mirrors. Luckily, I haven’t seen anything else since, but it still gives me the creeps to think about it.

Earlier tonight, my mom and I were talking about psychic abilities, intuition, and the supernatural, when she told me told me something she’d never told me before about the night when my grandmother died when I was little. My older brother woke up that night, hysterical and terrified from a nightmare that he had where he was being buried alive. At the same time, my aunt came to our door to inform us that our grandmother (my dad’s mother) had just passed away.
My dream happened a few years ago when I was a sophomore in high school (I’m a college freshman now). In the dream, I was with the Cross Country team, running around the perimeter of a forest preserve that was surrounded by yellow caution tape, in a way that made it look similar to the scene of a crime. When I woke up, my brother had just gotten back from his early morning Cross Country practice at one of the nearby forest preserves. He was telling my mom that he and some of the other guys on the team had heard what sounded like a gunshot coming from deep within the woods. Shortly after, we found out that the gunshot was from a man who had committed suicide there.

My hole life I believed in ghosts, but I never had an encounter with them. My friends and family would ask me how I believed in them if I never met one. I would simply reply, I just know.
Well My best friend Ashley moved in with her boyfriend and were all pretty close. He claimed that the upstairs of his house was haunted. He told me stories about being dead asleep and waking up to a women screaming, slamming the bedroom door and running down the stairs. Being myself I believed him and my curiosity got the best of me. Form that day on I always wanted to spend the night in his house.
When i finally got the chance to stay the night i got excited. We all stayed up late waiting for something to happen, but sadly nothing happened so we all gave up and got ready for bed. I thought i was sleeping down stairs on the couch but i was quickly encouraged to sleep in the guest room. Right before i went to bed i was told that the guest room is the most active room in the house. I was nerves but excited. So me and my Boyfriend made the bed, shut the door and laid down. I stayed awake for about an hour waiting for something, anything. Sadly, nothing so i decided to go to bed. I feel asleep fast because the excitement was gone.
My eye shot open to the feeling of ice on my face. I looked around wondering why it was so cold because the room was pretty warm when i went to sleep. Then i felt something move. I look at my feet and the blanket was slowly getting pulled off of the bed from my corner. I shot up with my heart pounding grabbed the blanket and pulled them over my head and snuggled next to my boyfriend. When i calmed down i explained too my self that it probably was just their dog laying on the floor. I thought he must of just snuck into the room before we went to bed because the door was closed. I calmed down and went back to sleep.
I awoke again to a women screaming in my ear and the door opening and slamming shut and heavy foot steps down the stairs. There was no way i calmed myself down from that so i laid there scarred. My boyfriend didn’t wake up for nothing so i laid there…Alone. Some how i feel back to sleep.
My last and final experience with this ghost was i woke up to the sound of breathing on my face, ice cold. I slowly felt pressure on my side. It felt like two hands pushing down on me. I tried to roll over to see if it was my boyfriend but i couldnt move. My eyes open now, I seen nothing but darkness. I heard a snicker and the pressure got more intense. My heart started racing as i squirmed to relieve the pressure which was turning into pain. The pressure finally subsided and i rolled over to wake my boyfriend up to tell him what happened. I finally woke him up and told him my three encounters. I showed him my side and he told me that I needed to go look in the mirror. I ask why and he said you’ll see. I was to afraid to get up by myself so he went with me to the bathroom. I pulled my shirt up and seen two perfect black and blue hand prints bruised on my side.
I think the ghost knew i wanted an experience with a ghost so she gave me the most scariest experience of my life.

The other day in art class, someone at my table brought up the discussion of being possessed by something. It was all fun and games, but then someone else piped in with something very bone-chilling.
She told a story of when she was at a bonfire during the summer with her boyfriend, having a great time. Then, they heard a scream in the woods and saw something seem to dissolve into the woods.
The next day, she went to his house, and the second she walked inside she knew something was wrong, because he had this blank expression on his face. She went up to him to “greet” him, and told us that all he did was sort of tilt his head in a creepy-as-shit way, and lean his neck forward. She said she got very freaked out after that and went to the bathroom. Returning, she found him doing the same thing, and she went over to him again. Apparently, he reached out his hands and started strangling her and saying some girls name, and how she needed help, and someone had to go find her before it was too late.
She didn’t specify to us how she got out of the strangling, but said she left his house soon after, and after a day of being reassured he was normal, returned to his house. And she said he had no recollection of doing anything that day, besides hearing a strange noise.

So this one night I was over at my friends’ house, and we had spent all night watching horror movies and telling scary stories.
It was getting close to midnight, and suddenly the idea of making an Ouija board came up. So we got some pens and paper, did the whole routine and used a glass instead of a pointer (we do that in Iceland, it’s called a spirit glass, I don’t know if anyone else does that).
Pretty soon we got something, asked a few questions and nothing big happened.
The thing is, one of my friends that was there is kind of weird in the head, and I never really trusted him because he’s been diagnosed with multiple personalities and he always gets kind of… weird.
Anyway, something must have triggered a switch in him because he suddenly took the glass (which you are NEVER supposed to do, you CAN’T let the spirit get out before saying goodbye), and put it to his mouth and breathed in from it. Then he went to the sofa and laid down with a really creepy smile on his face.
The three of us left sitting at the table suddenly all twitched, I for one felt a freezing chill on all sides of my body and the room felt a lot darker then before. Then I felt hands. On my neck. I brought my hands up to my neck and I felt nothing with them. But the grip tightened and I panicked, getting up really quickly. I tried clawing at whatever was gripping my throat, but there was nothing there. I swear something was choking me. Feeling the air flow in my throat constricted, my heartbeat went from 0 to one billion in a second and I fell to my knees still clawing at my neck, trying to get out. I looked at the sofa, and saw my friend still lying there, still a smile on his face. I can’t remember anything else until I woke up in the hospital. They charted it as an epileptic attack, but I knew better. I haven’t touched an Oujia board since, and I never will. Once is enough.

When my aunt was 13 home alone the basement door opened, causing the hanging brooms to fall off the door & down the stairs. She went down there to pick them up, she says she heard her name whispered in a low growl & something touch her on the neck. When she was 17, my aunt's room was moved to the basement. During the night she woke up to a noise & saw a man staring in a baseball cap standing at the foot of her bed. She closed her eyes deciding what to do, but when she reopened them he was gone.
This is a true story. It happened a few months ago.
One night, I was leaning against the left side of my bed, and texting my boyfriend. I was telling him good night as I always did right before I went to bed. The door to my room was open, and my dad was in the bathroom across from my room looking in the mirror. Everything was as it always was.
I went to turn to ask my dad a question, but when I looked over, I was startled when I saw my grandmother (my mom’s mom) standing next to my dad. My grandmother has been dead for 5 years now. She was there for about 30 seconds before disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Confused and shocked, I just kept staring into the bathroom. My dad turned to walk out and said, “Are you okay?”, and that’s all I remember.
I guess from what I’ve heard from my dad, I fainted. My grandmother used to be one of my best friends. Before she died she said to me, “Don’t forget me. I’ll always be there with you.”
I guess I didn’t take her seriously until 5 years later when I saw her standing there next to my dad.
