There was a married couple who lived in a rural area of Spain. Their house was a modest little cottage, located on the edge of a busy main road. They had two daughters who were both twin girls.
As they grew up, the twin girls were very well-behaved. They never fought or argued. They lived happily together and hated to be separated.
One day, the mother had to go to the shop and buy some milk and bread. She didn’t want to leave the girls on their own so she brought them with her. Grasping both girls by the hand, the mother led them across the busy road.
Unfortunately, the mother had forgotten to look both ways before she crossed the street. Just as they neared the other side, she heard a loud screech and then a horrible crunching sound as her daughters’ tiny hands were torn out of her grasp.
When the mother twirled around to look, she screamed in horror at what she saw and collapsed on the sidewalk. The twin girls had been run over by a huge truck. The bloody remains of the twin girls were splattered across the road.
The mother began crying and sobbing hysterically. Try as she might, she couldn’t tear her eyes away from the two big streaks of red that stained the road.
At the funeral the father tried to confort his wife, but she was inconsolable. Over and over, she screamed “This is all my fault! This is all my fault!”
Four years later, the mother and father still lived in the same house beside the road where their daughters had perished. The woman became pregnant again. The couple were surprised when the doctors told them that they would be having twins again.
The parents rejoiced when their two little girls were born. This happy event caused the mother to forget the tragedy of the past. As the twin girls grew up, their mother and father were careful never to mention the previous children. They acted as if the deceased girls had never existed.
One day, the two little twin girls were playing in the garden. Their mother came out and told them to come with her to the shop. As they stood at the edge of the road, the mother took hold of the hands of the two girls and held them tightly.
Suddenly, as the mother began walking across the road, the girls began to struggle and tried to slip out of their mother’s grasp.
“No, Mommy! Don’t hold us!”, cried the twin girls in unison. “We don’t want to die again!”
When I turned ten I had a sleep over and three girls stayed the night. I had an older doll it was pretty big.. like one of those ‘my size’ barbies. She had creepy gray eyes and really ratty hair.
So the night of my party we were all talking and we fell asleep. Next thing I know, I’m being shaken awake by one of the party goers. She was in hysterics crying and told us this story:
“I heard someone ring your doorbell and I went down stairs. I didn’t see anyone outside of the peep hole so I went to go back up and I turned around again and saw someone peering in the side windows of the door (the windows are frosted so you cannot see anything really). I turned to run up the stairs and when I looked your doll was standing at the top of them. She had her hand on the rail like she was a real person waiting, and I freaked out and pushed her down the steps.”
I admit.. I was skeptical and thought she had a nightmare. We all went downstairs for some left over cake and Pepsi and found the doll at the bottom of the stairs face first.
The next day we dismembered the doll in my barn but the head would not budge. We tried hammers and everything. I had nightmares for years afterward about that damn doll.

Oh my god - the Ten Steps story will forever haunt me. I saw it a couple of years ago; I was alone, it was night and I watched it, not knowing what it was. I couldn't sleep after that and couldn't forget it for months... I refuse to watch it now, even; it was just so scary... :/ xo
haha omg me too
i remember one night staying up late watching tv, and it was being shown with a bunch of short films, but i came across in again on youtube when i was looking for some other story, i was like woo!
To the person asking about a Ouija board, do lots of research before you mess with one. It isn't something to be taken lightly, and you can wind up having some terrifying experiences. I generally got sessions started by moving the planchet in circles on the board a few times, then asking if anyone was there. If you want to end a session, verbally announce it. If the spirit doesn't leave willingly, force the planchet to goodbye. Make sure it always moves to goodbye when you're done with a session
it's actually a really bad idea to use a Ouija board on Halloween especially at haunting hour because the spirits are at their strongest point on Halloween. If you do, make sure you use protecting charms and enchantments. There's a reaaally high risk you'll end up with a very strong evil spirit.
do you know any rules of using a oujia board? How do you start a session and end a session. How would you tell if spirit is evil? Would it be a bad idea to have a session with a oujia board on halloween morning at 3am? what are some what to protect yourself? do you believe that oujia boards are real or just a game? have you used a oujia board before?
i don’t know because i’ve never played one before, but i don’t think they should be mess with
Okay, so, I’ve never actually encountered a ghost visibly, but when I was in high school, a few of my friends and I messed around with a Ouija board… (Seriously guys, don’t mess with those things, they’re fucked!)
Anyways… One day at lunch break, a friend of mine, let’s call her Lily, decided to invite me and some of my other friends over to her Mom’s house to try out the Ouija board she had at the house. There was about 4 or 5 of us, I can’t remember exactly. She lived nearby, so we all agreed, figuring it’d be an interesting way to pass lunch time.
When we got to her house, we went downstairs into her room and we all positioned ourselves around the board accordingly. I don’t remember the exact words that were said to ‘summon’ the being that we did, I just know that the pointer started moving and we asked it questions. Silly questions, like, who has a crush on someone, you know, stupid high school girl things… But then my friend Lily asked the being if it would try to possess one of us, to try to speak through one of us. (Again, BAD idea guys, don’t do it, I’ve heard bad stories about it.)
Most everyone was too scared to volunteer, after the thing pointed to ‘Yes’, but I decided to go ahead and go for it. So everyone but me removed their hands from the pointer, and I closed my eyes and tried to relax as much as possible. What happened next, words can’t really describe the feeling… It was as if I had been enveloped in sadness, in a heartbreaking despair, and even those words can’t really describe the depth of the sadness I felt. The feeling only last a second or so, before I opened my eyes and described what had happened to my friends.
Everyone else put their hands back on the pointer, and Lily asked the being, ‘Why did you possess her? She’s been waiting here…’ It took a moment before the pointer moved, and spelled out the words, ‘I tried.’
I didn’t really know what to think at that moment in time, but when I think about it now, it seriously creeps me out… The whole time we were talking to this being though, I just wanted to add, that we never got a malicious feeling from it, the responses from it were simple and non-threatening, almost lonely.

Most people think Funeral Homes are creepy but I work in a commercial establishment so it’s almost like any other job, just with dead people. Oh and I work nights….I have been at this funeral home for almost two years and we have a few permanent guests hanging around.
“Kenny” is our most mischievous character, usually he just moves things around in the back room making things hard for us to find. We will find supplies on top of our air duct in the back after restocking the room and then not going in there until our end of shift routine. One night something must have upset Kenny because we were embalming and out of no where the top of our garbage bin literally blew off and the lid went flying across the room. We all just looked at each other and slowly left the room.
The scariest night though came around last summer. We work in a secure part of the FH that has a door with push locks on the handle to get in, and vending machines are right outside the door, accompanied by 2 surveillance cameras so we know who is or trying to come in. I was by myself (everyone was out on calls) manning the phones when I heard the vending machine motion sensor go off and the wheels start turning. Then I heard the buttons being pushed… I looked at the video and no one was outside the door. Its stopped after a minute or so and I continued my book. Later on that night I was alone again and I was doing some cleaning up… the same routine started again. Machine and button pushing, this time I was closer to the door and I asked “Who’s there?” the buttons continued and I asked again, this time the buttons stopped and I heard a knock come from INSIDE the locked, one door vault (where the cremains are stored). Boy I hot-tailed it to the desk and called my supervisor. While on the phone with her the button pushing continued (again with no one on video)and I told her that Kenny was trying to get me and to hurry back!
“Keep the Christmas Lights on at all Times!”
We decorate for the Holidays and put up a tree and lights to make the FH look festive. But we always have to keep the Christmas lights on for the little girl ghost. No one has seen her but we can all hear her giggling through the halls around Christmas and the lights are up. If we turn them off we can hear a little girl crying all night until someone turns them on or if we are busy, then seem to come on by themselves.
The most recent sighting of ghostly activity was a few nights ago. I was embalming by myself when I heard the button door open and close like someone came in, I didnt hear anything for a few minutes so I asked if it was one of my co-workers. No response, so I leaned over the embalming table and saw 2 red wheels roll into the darkness near the Vault. I thought it might be one of the older ladies (who use walkers) come in to get cremains. I carried on for a few minutes but didn’t hear the door again so I walked over the the vault area and no one was there. In fact, there was even a dressing table with a body in front of it. There was no way anyone could have gotten in there.
There are more stories but I thought this was long enough…
Anyway, love your blog and hope to keep getting freaked out by it! :)
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Quite creepy. and thank you (: , 9/10 for scares and thanks for sharing.
So I’ll start my story with a little background information on about the Vanderlip Mansion. In Rancho Palos Verdes, California here is a big private gated community. At the top of the hill the community is on, there is a huge mansion that was owned by the man who created the town of Palos Verdes. Ubran legends say that the house is very haunted along with the area it’s located on.
Me and a group of friends decided to check it out one night. We couldn’t go through the front of the mansion because we needed a code to get through the gate, so we went through the very back. The back of the mansion is very big, it’s sort of like a canyon/valley. People go on hikes down there in the daytime. Anyway, we saw that we could either hike down or go down a flight of stairs that we saw on the opposite side. We had to hop over a fence onto someone’s property (we were trespassing I know) and continued down the stairs. It was a group of 6 people with us but 2 of our friends stayed in the car because they were too scared to tag along. So the 4 of us started walking, it must have been a 100 flight of stairs down to the path that lead up to the backyard of the house. We heard people behind us and it was 2 guys. I turned around and saw that one was wearing a gray hoodie and the other was wearing a black one. I really couldn’t see their faces at all because it was dark and they had their hoods on. I ignored them and kept walking. I turned around again, and they were gone. Just gone. They couldn’t have ran all the way up the stairs or hide behind anything because their were no bushes around us. I was freaked out. Our friend Blake, decided to go ahead and check out what was in front of us. We stopped and waited for him. He was coming running to us screaming that he saw 2 dogs, the dogs had red eyes and that they were both barking at him but no sound was coming out of their vocal cords. At that point we decided to just leave. So we went back up the flight of stairs and back to the car
When we got to the car, our friend couldn’t find her keys. And she wasn’t going to go back down there and look for them. We called the towing company and her car was towed away. The next day, me and my 2 friends went back to look for her car keys. They were hanging from the “No Trespassing” sign that was next to the fence we jumped.
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Woah what the fuck. Is it weird that I want to go there, Lol. 9/10 for scares and thanks for sharing.
I don’t know if you would consider this a story about a Shadow Being or ghost. What do you think?
We used to live on the top section of what you might call townehouses. These ones had a row 2 story apartments on the ground with a second row of 2 story apartments on top. Our living room had huge windows/doors leading to the balcony that took up the whole wall. We never bothered with curtains because we were high enough up.
This particular day I was sitting on the floor in the living room doing homework at the coffee table. It was night, and with the light on in the living room the huge windows reflected the living room/ dining room area well. Behind the dining room was our small kitchen and the front door.
I knew my mom had a friend of hers, Joe, coming over so when I saw the shadow of a man in the reflection of the window I thought nothing of the fact that I never heard a knock, the door open, my mom coming down from upstairs to get the door, nothing. I saw the shadow clear as anything, so I turned towards the dining room where he was standing and started to say “Oh, hi Joe…” but half way through my sentence I noticed no one was there.
My mom came down then asking if her friend was there because she heard me talking, and I told her what I saw. Joe came by a few minutes later. But it was definitely weird…
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Not really sure what it was, but interesting. 7/10 for scares and thanks for sharing.
Okay so, I’ve only once in my life experienced something paranormal if you could call it that, or at least which I can remember and I thought it was pretty creepy and that I should share it with you.
When I was a kid something around 9-11 years old, me and my family of five were coming from my cousins by car and it was raining really hard, you could barely see in front of you. I was sitting on the left side on the backseat and when we were only a couple of block’s away from our house, I noticed a slightly chubby woman, all dressed in black with long black wet hair hanging on her shoulders with her black eye make up all messed up on her cheeks. I can still remember exactly what the woman looked like. Anyways she was standing in the middle of the road, right in front of our car’s way and I just stared at her in shock as our car got closer and closer to her. I froze and couldn’t practically do or say anything as we drove over her, no one other seeing her except for me. And as I got over my shock I asked my dad why he drove over the woman, everyone in my family looked at me like I was crazy. Apparently there wasn’t anyone in the way, and no one in my family had seen what I had seen. It still gives me the creeps when we drive over the same spot where it happened all those years ago.

A couple years ago, my cousin was walking in a trail in the late evening, his music was blaring from his headphones. It was just beginning to get dark. He felt something else was there with him, watching him. When he turned to look behind him, he saw a woman-like figure standing a little ways in the distance. When he saw her, she started coming toward him in a zig-zag pattern, on each side of the trail. He turned around right away and kept walking, trying to ignore it, his music still blaring away.
Fuck Yeah Nightmares Answered: Um, if I was your cousin I would have ran like fuck. Lol
Okay. I moved into a new house. It's a town house and since I moved in I've been a little uneasy. I've lived her for about 2 months and I live here with my family. Well downstairs is this small closet and it has one of those folding doors well I started to notice it opens on its own sometimes. One night I was home alone babysitting both Brothers and they were asleep and it was open all the way! Could my house be haunted?
If you’re having bad feelings about the house it is often a sign a place is haunted.
Such as feeling that you are not alone in a room or whatever. but then again you just moved into a new house so you might just feel a little bit uneasy about it.
Just wait after a while and see if anything happens. Normally a new house makes anyone feel uneasy.
That's good about the Slender Man but it's just I've been seeing a tall, skinny figure out of my peripheral vision and it scares me because I've seen him during the daylight, night time, and at my friends house. But the weird this is that I see orbs before it happens.
